Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of consent in your country) to create an account. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian, particularly before making any purchase once the Heritage Store is able to process orders.

• You're responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information when registering, and keep it up to date.
• Notify us promptly at sanatan.sindhu1008@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (see Section 10).

The Site currently offers free accounts. We may introduce paid membership tiers with additional benefits in the future; if we do, membership benefits, pricing, and features will be described clearly before you're asked to pay, and we'll give reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid members.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You will not:

• Copy, scrape, or redistribute the Site's content at scale (beyond normal personal reading/reference use).
• Attempt to bypass any access or download restrictions.
• Upload or transmit anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful, or that impersonates another person.
• Interfere with the Site's security, availability, or normal operation (including automated scraping that degrades performance).
• Use the Site to harass, defame, or discriminate against others.

We may remove content or restrict access for anyone who violates these rules.

The Heritage Store currently lets you browse products and build a cart, but does not yet process payments — checkout is not live. No orders are being taken or fulfilled at this time.

When checkout goes live, we will update this section to name our payment processor and set out pricing, digital-goods delivery, refund, and (if applicable) shipping and returns terms for physical goods — and we will make sure those terms are visible before any purchase is possible.

Free content. Text, images, and other material on the Site is provided for your personal, non-commercial reading and reference use. You may share links to pages, but may not republish, rehost, or commercially redistribute the content without our written permission.

Future paid downloads. The Site does not currently sell downloadable content. If we introduce paid downloads in the future, this section will be updated with specific license terms (such as personal-use and device restrictions) before that feature launches.

Attribution and sourcing. Where the Site presents translations, commentary, or summaries of traditional texts, these reflect editorial work by our contributors — produced with substantial assistance from AI research tools, as described in Section 8 — and are offered for educational purposes.

The Site's design, original written commentary, curated selections, branding, and the "Sanatan Sindhu" name and logo are owned by Sanatan Sindhu or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Traditional scriptures, verses, and public-domain texts referenced on the Site remain in the public domain or under their respective original rights where applicable; our original commentary, translations, and curation around them are ours.

Sanatan Sindhu is an independent, editorial project. Much of the research behind its essays and reference content — cross-referencing primary texts, commentaries, and named scholars across traditions — is produced with substantial assistance from AI research tools, directed and reviewed by our human contributors before publication. We disclose this plainly because we think readers of scriptural and philosophical content deserve to know how it was made.

The Site presents scripture, philosophy, and tradition — including multiple schools of thought (such as Advaita, Vishishtadvaita, and Dvaita perspectives on shared texts) — for educational and reference purposes. Content reflects the editorial judgment of our contributors and is not presented as the single authoritative interpretation of any tradition, nor as religious, spiritual, or legal guidance. Translations and pronunciations are provided as reasonable approximations for learning purposes.

If you spot an error in a citation, translation, or attribution, please tell us at sanatan.sindhu1008@gmail.com — we welcome corrections and will act on them.

The Site may link to or rely on third-party services (such as our authentication and backend provider, our analytics tool, or a future payment processor) and your device's own browser features (such as built-in text-to-speech for pronunciation). We aren't responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent or abusive behavior, or as required by law. You may stop using the Site or request account deletion at any time by contacting sanatan.sindhu1008@gmail.com.

The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sanatan Sindhu will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain liability limitations — these limitations apply only to the extent enforceable in your jurisdiction.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be resolved in the courts of India, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer-protection law in your country of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify members by email or a Site notice. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
