The Summer Festival in the Vṛndāvana Grove
During the season was absent in Dvārakā, elder brother remained in Vṛndāvana to be with the gopīs. One warm summer evening the gopīs invited him to a moonlit festival in the deep forest groves along the Yamunā. Garlanded with forest flowers, Dauji danced with them in circles beneath the champā trees. Weary and joyful, he called to the river — 'Yamunā, come here so that we may bathe together where we stand.'
